Visit to St. Michael's Abbey, Farnborough

On a recent trip to southern England, Fr. James had the opportunity to visit Farnborough Abbey, a community of Benedictine Monks in the Roman Catholic Church who are part of the Solesmes Congregation. Farnborough was endowed by the last Empress of France, and serves as a final resting place for her, her late husband Napoleon III, and their son the Prince Imperial. During the visit, Fr. James was able to convey his greetings to the Abbot, visit the church and crypt, as well as the well stocked bookshop, which sells many books relating to and containing Gregorian chant.
