Our Cathedral Chapter

As the cathedral is staffed by the Monastic Brotherhood of New Whithorn Minster, its governing body is the Chapter of Canons, and the Cathedral staff. The Chapter meets quarterly to discuss matters directly pertaining to running the Cathedral, and the many things we do as a community. As a Minster, and following that model, some members of the chapter are assigned prebends, or geographical areas where they are, from time to time, sent out to do mission work..  The members of the chapter are better known to visitors as the clergy who are in the Cathedral, or assist in Cathedral and its outreach throughout the British Isles.
